“What hurts the victim most is not the physical cruelty of the oppressor, but the silence of the bystander”- Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel. This is the foundation for Dr. Ben Voth’s belief that genocide can end in the 21st century. “It is our silence that enables the terrible injustices of the world,” Voth explains. Dr. Ben Voth teaches and coaches students in order to equip them to have a voice in society. Voth works with a variety of individuals such as Holocaust survivors, national speech champions, top speakers in debate, community advocates, and government leaders to ensure that the human value of being heard is instilled.
