The Path to Nazi Genocide

On the night of November 9, 1938, Nazi paramilitaries attacked synagogues and Jewish businesses across Germany and Austria. Kristallnacht – the Night of Broken Glass – shocked the world but only foreshadowed far greater atrocities. How did ordinary Germans come to turn against their Jewish neighbors? How did people come to believe in the systemic annihilation of millions during the Holocaust? “The Path to Nazi Genocide” is a powerful documentary that answers these questions and more. Created by the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum with Persian subtitling by Tavaana, the film’s original footage tracks the rise of Nazi anti-Semitism to Hitler’s takeover of the German state to the end of the Holocaust with the defeat of the Axis powers in 1945.
